"LIFE" CAN ALSO BE DEFINED AS "HUMANS TRYING"

You don't believe in the future of humanity because you aren't paying enough attention to the right people. Look closer. They might need your help.

The "Humans Trying" Podcast is an evolving video interview project hosting people from around the world who inspire other human beings to not only keep living, but become better versions of themselves for the sake of making the world a better place.

So what about you... do you believe humanity is worth saving? Are we a species worth protecting?

Amidst all this war, what's the best way to go about finding unity? Is world peace even possible? Is it worth trying?

On the Humans Trying Podcast we attempt to bumble our way through non-answers to sacred questions, while telling real success stories about inspiring humans who will restore your faith in humanity. Each guest was chosen for their efforts to bring light into a dark world, help people find their soulful purpose in life, create positive change in their communities, or have somehow turned pain into love - and I've invited them on to share how.

MISSION

To inspire young people plagued with despair that being human is a gift, not a curse. To give examples of people who inspire hope in humanity. To be a light in the darkness. To pull at the heartstrings of even the most guarded, numb human beings - starting with healing post-Covid.

“The human spirit has been broken and we’re not even talking about it.”

VALUES

Do all things in love.

Humanity is worth saving (and believing in).

Embodiment is why we can do this work.

Art will save us.

Nature is everything. But humans bring the emotion.

Malevolence is real. Benevolence is real.

Everything can be traced.

+ + +

"I had the idea for this project years ago. I just didn't know how to execute my message, or what it would transform into. In the middle of a heated conversation about the state of the world, I heard myself say 'because humanity is worth saving' and I realized I only partly believed that. I've spent the years since then tracking my inner nihilist: the part of me that finds life meaningless.

I've spent these years challenging that limiting belief, and arguing for a better world (mainly with myself) - and taking action steps to create a more positive mindset, environment, and motivation for myself and others.

To be honest, hopelessness easily gets the best of me. I struggle with melancholy and anxiety often. I have apprenticed with sorrow, grief, and love, and accidently remember over and over again: humans are amazing. We're worth investing in. Despite the malevolence, corruption, and despair... I still believe we're great. That belief doesn't come easy. So I started a podcast keep myself inspired - and I hope it inspires you too. Keep going. Life is worth it."
